Just like the subject line said: what is the ShareWay IP Personal Bgnd extension?
I have been paying a lot of attention to the About this Mac window, watching where my RAM goes, who's hogging what, etc. I'll run about 8-10 applications all at the same time with no problems. However, when they are all Quit, the available RAM never returns to the same level it was when the machine was first started - specifically 97 megs of Unused Largest Block RAM (128 built in, 129 used virtual, OS using 34 megs). So I did some force quitting even though it didn't look like anything was running. Not only was ShareWay IP Personal Bgnd extension running, it was using about 15-20 megs of RAM!! What is it doing? It is not in the StartUp folder and I do not launch it. So what app calls upon it? Netscape? Why doesn't it quit when the 'mother app' quits?
