You said you wanted a cheap inkjet? In my opinion no such thing. I have upgraded to a laser printer due to the very high cost of epson ink for the s600 model that I had which seemed to drink it. Been very very happy with my laser and on my second year and my only expense has been a 60 dollar repair from one very complicated paper jam and the cost of paper.
Original toner cartridge is still good and I am writer and I print many many pages. Cost was 300 bucks but it is faster and quiet and more cost effective in the long run. Paper jams are rare (only 3 that I can think of)and no ink to buy. But if you want to print photos of course you need color inkjet. My three year old espon does color work great for my needs. I also have a canon BJ portable that drinks less ink, fits in my kensington saddle bag and is quieter and faster than the epson. Also 300 bucks and only worth it if you need portablity.
