Hi Shannon, I bought the midlevel combo drive. I had ordered one through the education store. I got tired of waiting after 4 weeks, so I called the closest Apple Store (2 hours away) on a whim. They had one in & even gave me the education price (I didn't think they would). Put it on the credit card to hold & drove down to pick it up.
Great machine. Speakers & display are awesome & I can tell a difference running OSX on a G4. My only complaint is that even w/ 256, there is not enough RAM. Unfortunately prices are up a bit, but I think I will add 256 more before much longer.
