Just in case you havent thought of this, remember that USB can be
hot-swapped. You can just take the USB cable that comes from the printer,
unplug it from one computer and plug it into the other. I'm guessing you
dont want to bother with this though- the switch would be easier. I know
printers can also be networked but dont know much about networking.
