I agree, it would be nice to upgrade your ole iMac, but for that amount of dollars you need to buy a Harmoni, you can get a complete refurbished slot-loading iMac with built-in CDRW or CD/DVD-ROM and IIRC a faster systembus. Maybe even a new iMac G3. Get a cheap external USB burner (maybe even second hand) for the time being or save that cash to buy an iMac explained above. > > What Mac Dealer, are they online, how much? > > http://www.wegenermedia.com/indexa.html > > Look under iMac CD/DVD drives - scrool to last section - "Tray Loading iMac > CDRW" I installed exactly *that* CDRW (see my earlier post). But you can get a faster Matsushita CDRW (8x4x32 opposed to this 4x4x20) for much less cash on eBay. I bought that 4x4x20 from that site since I couldn't find another recourse to buy from at that moment. And the guy for which I installed that CDRW wanted to spend the cash so I bought it for him. Later on I found out that you can get a faster CDRW for less cash at eBay... But I have to say that the guy I bought it from was very friendly and he send it to me very fast and w/o a bill inside or on top of the box so that I didn't have to pay taxes to the customs (I live in Holland).
