Use your network to transfer the Appleworks 6 to your computer. It will read
all your old Appleworks or clarisworks files. Technically it could be said
that you are supposed to buy another copy for your computer but very few
people in your situation would- I would assert that since you're in the same
family youre entitled to put it on all your computers at home.
When you use "6" to open a file in "5" format, Appleworks will say that it
is converting it and placing a new copy in the folder. You can then delete
the "5" copy to save duplication.

Thanks -- I doubt if I'll need it for awhile anyway.
Since I'm asking questions -- I have Appleworks 5.0.3 on my computer and
my husband has 6.0.4. I assume I have to buy an upgrade to be the same as
his. Is that correct? We are networked and it would be convenient when I
use his files. But if I do this, would I still be able to read all the
stuff I already have on 5.0?
