FWIW. I worked for a company had home offices in the old Piper Aircraft 
factory in Lakeland. When the weather got really humid our wintel boxes 
had all kinds of strange aberrations. (mostly 486's at the time, with 
Win 3.1.1) Opening the box up and spending a little time with a hair 
dryer  on low temp settings, would often make everything run again as it 
should.
