Hey Tom; I down loaded iTunes 3 today also and like my usual self did not bother to read the instructions, guess what everything works fine, music library and all! I have 1367 songs saved to my library and everything works well so far. However i do have my collection backed up to CD-R, about 12 Discs in MP3 Format( roughly 145 songs per disc)
