I don't get what all the hullabaloo is about in the first place.  
Personally, I've never even USED iTools.  I have an iTools account that 
was set up by a friend to help him transfer files from my computer to 
his when he did a format of my hard drive, but that's it.  That's the 
only time I used it, and that was long before I even got this flat panel 
iMac.  I've NEVER used it on THIS machine.

What's so special about iTools that you can't get at other free services 
out there, anyway?
