I just ordered an external 32x16x48 Firewire burner from Small Dog
for $159, and it comes with Toast Lite. It was a demo, but it
looks like the price difference is only around $10. They have
several EZQuest firewire drives for around the same money. Of
course, this isn't an option for really old iMacs, but if you
have the interface, the price seems to finally be reasonable.
And also of course, it is a lot easier to install (but it does take
up some space). I've had good luck with my 60GB EZQuest firewire
drive for a year or so now....
Regards,
Mike
