Dear List - It seems - according to Earthlink tech support -that my browser IE5 has been infected by a worm -W32.Goner.A@mm-. I've been getting 'failure to deliver' of emails which I did not send. They sent me to the Symantec site but the appropriate disinfecting device doesnt seem to be available for Macs.
Do I have to purchase Norton anti Virus to disinfect my system? Symantec has been quite unclear in indicating which product/download will work for my Imac. Please advise. Frank Ettenberg A lttle later.... My mistake, I think my mail program Outlook Express 5 is affected. I did a Symantec online scan of my TCP/IP mailing address and it said that my system is safe. Can the scan be inadequte in locating the worm? Might there be no worm?? FE -- The iMac List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
