Sometimes when I click on a link which opens a popup window in Internet
Explorer, the window is nonresizable, even though only a fraction of the
actual content is visible. My usual workaround is looking in History and
turning the URL of the popup into a full-sized window.

However, this causes IE to go into a hang, at least at one site. Is there a
solution, such as a Preferences option or trashing a preference file?

(BTW, it works fine in Opera, but my daughter prefers Explorer.)
