In Netscape Edit [menu]->Preferences, click on "fonts" under "appearance," and choose your favorite faces & sizes. While you're at it, if you're in the classic OS, change the variable-width font from Times (made for printing) to New York (an original Mac font optimized for screen viewing - MUCH easier to read on the screen in the same font size, by using it I could go down one font size & still read it easier than Times). I don't know if OS X has this one. HOWEVER, if the page is described by a style sheet, these will usually override your choice - and you're stuck with the page designer's choice, usually made on a PC. 8.5 points seems to be a favorite size for these types, and is practically illegible on a Mac. The only way I know around this is to use iCab, which will allow you to set a minimum font size and show NOTHING smaller, style sheet or not. (I'm still fighting with our church webmaster over this one - he figures I'm the only person he knows on a Mac, so why bother to change the font size? The only alternative is for me to take over the [volunteer] position. Aargh, just what I need, more volunteer jobs.) Anne -- The iMac List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
