The way I have mine set-up is with a graphite base station. I bought an
inexpensive hub ($25)
and I connect my cable ethernet modem to the uplink in hub, connect Imac to
hub and base station to hub. By powering up my base station first it gets
the IP address from the modem, then I let it function as the router through
the hub by next turning on Imac and then the ibook receives it's address
from base station also. Saved me from having to purchase a snow base station
or an airport card for imac. It works great...
