Yes, use iCab as your browser. As far as I know, iCab is the only browser 
for any platform that lets you make fonts bigger when the #%$W@%^f 
webmaster forces type to a specific size in points or pixels.

Nothing will make 8 point Verdana legible on any Mac. It's just too small.

And be sure to let the #%$W@%^f webmaster know how inaccessible the site 
is for Mac users.
