True advice. OS X loves RAM. I had been running X on a Power Tower Pro
for some time, when junior grade daughter said she wanted it on her slot
load iMac. I ordered more RAM but in the meantime decided t load it up
and see what happened. It had the original 64 MB of RAM

X loaded, albeit very slowly, however, when we were done you would have
thought Bill Gates seized the iMac for windoze OS, it was really
slooowww. It did run. Upgraded the iMac to 512 mb and it's a great
machine with X. There's no such thing as giving X too much memory. <G>
