The usual sign of multiple partitions is having more than one hard drive
icon on your desktop, each partition shows up as if it were a separate hard
drive.

It is possible, though unlikely, that you could have additional partitions,
but only one is set to mount at startup.  A quick check would be to select
your hard drive on the desktop, and choose "get info" from the finder.  If
under "capacity" it says the full size of your physical hard drive, then you
only have one partition.
