I need help: Ive got a PPC 333 Mhz G3 iMac running OS 9.2.2 and 10.1.5.
The problem is that I have to and "am forced" to rebuild the desktop every time I boot up the computer (turn on) under OS 9.2.2 otherwise my desktop icons flicker and cannot be opened like my hard drive icon. Also I experimented by trying to dial up my ISP under these "pre rebuilding the desktop" conditions and the screen where it asks you for your password doesnt appear therefore I get a "user authentication failure" message. In sum my iMac isnt acting normally unless I rebuild the desktop every time before I boot up or turn on the computer. Is there a better solution that anybody knows about??
