We have an iMac in our office that went belly-up this morning with a presumed analog board failure. Not a HD failure.
We have billing information on the iMac that we need to get off the hard disk. The machine is backed up nightly, but a lot of data was input this morning before it died. I can pull the hard drive, but the question is this: What models of Mac can I put it in to recover the data? I have available a plethora of beige and B&W G3s. Also, another iMac, but I don't want to have to open two different iMacs if I don't have to. I just want to transplant the iMac HD into another machine and back up the HD over the network. Any suggestions on how best to do this, or things to definitely avoid, will be appreciated. todd -- The iMac List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
