I've been using iSwipe in place of my slow as molasses Limewire with tremendous success. It is fairly stable and specifically for Macs.

Currently iSwipe is "donate-ware", which means you're free to use it for free, but if you find it beneficial, any donation above $5 will get you a serial number which you could use should they decide to make it shareware.
