Got OS 10.1.5, and I have found in the few months I've had it that it
repeatedly wants to update the following functions every time I check the
software update:

    Security Version 1.0
    Mac OS Version 10.1.5
    Internet Explorer Version 5.1.4
    Java Version 1.3.1
    DVD Player Version 3.1.1

I should think the computer (OS X) would "know" what it has already loaded.
Why would it want to keep doing the same thing over and over again?

Is there something I can do so it will recognize its status and not want
to redo what it already has?

Ideas and suggestions gratefully accepted.
