9.1 *could* screw up some things, but probably not the peripherals that 
you mentioned. To be safe, I'd check the web sites of the respective 
manufacturers to see system requirements for the drivers involved.

One thing I do know that 9.1 broke was compatibility of A.D.D. (Apple 
Data Detectors) to operate from within many applications. There is a 
fix, but it is kind of involved and requires a ResEdit hack. Nothing 
major, but involved nonetheless. If you don't use or are not familiar 
with A.D.D., then don't worry.
