The SmartDisk doesn't seem to want to play fair with the amount of power it draws, that's all. It could be that later models of iMac corrected this problem, but I doubt it. It's more likely that it's simply an engineering fubar on the part of the SmartDisk people. Just get a powered hub, and plug the SmartDisk into it. _Chas_ Come to ...
