Bev,

The only way I was able to do that was to insert the installer CD of OS 9,
copy the CD's startup system folder to the hard drive, and then I was able
to run the OS 9 installer, under classic in OS X.  After it finished, I
restarted in OS 9, and ran software update to get it up to 9.2.2.  It will
for a short time give you an error about not having USB drivers, but it goes
away when you get it all installed.
