Jeffery,

You need Apple's DVD Software 2.7 Package in your system folder. It consists
of:
DVD AutoLauncher
DVD Navigator Manager ATI
DVD Navigator Manager NV
DVD Region Manager
DVD Video Interface
DVDRuntimeLib

as well as the "Apple DVD Player". Put in your DVD and double click the
player icon and the DVD will load. I am using version 2.7 and it works well.
There have been issues of voice synching with earlier versions.

Okay, I just bought a used iMac Graphite DV SE and it won't play DVD's.
Which is no big deal but it does bother me. Could someone tell me exactly
where the firmware upgrades are and what else I need to do to try and fix
this? I tried to find something on Apple's web sites and I just get more
confused. Everything else on the Mac works just fine. I upgraded to 512 megs
of RAM and had to replace the PRAM battery. I think I also need an extension
that is missing called the DVD Auto Launcher Extension.

Thanks!
