I'm thinking about running Mac OS 10.2 "Jaguar" on my G3 iMac DV. Specs:
400MHz (Early 2001 version)
256 MB RAM
Standard 8MB ATI RAGE 128 Pro
10 GB Hard Drive
I've heard some people report that 10.2 is slow on a computer that can't
support Quartz Extreme. Disk space is not an issue, since I got an iPod and
moved all my music to it. Right now, I'm frequently switching between OS 9
and 10 because I like the stability of 10 for video editing and other heavy
features (and I have an EyeTV) but I feel more comfortable in 9. I'd like to
know if it would perform well enough to be worth all of those features
brought back from Mac OS 9.
