Hey all.

I've had a Flat Panel iMac for a while now, and have
updated it up to 10.1.5. I'm still considering
whether I should upgrade to 10.2.x (I can get it for
$69 through school, so I probably should).

I have the 700MHz iMac with 384MB of RAM. Would I see
a speed increase with Jaguar, or is it difficult to
tell? My main disappointment with OS X is how slow
the system responds to everything, like even grabbing
a window corner to resize the window it has to think
about it for just a second. Has 10.2 sped up simple
interface navigation?

Also, why doesn't the system remember my preferences
for window displays? I spent some time one afternoon
setting up the global views and applying different
preferences to my most used folders. Why doesn't OS X
remember those preferences the next time I boot the
computer?

Thanks, Josh
