It's a little after the fact, but you might want to try buying an
inexpensive keyboard cover, like they use on the cash registers in bakeries
and delis, etc.

I bought one right after I got my iMac two years ago and have spilled orange
juice not once, but twice on the keyboard and not a drop got into it.

If I remember correctly, the cover only costs about $14  bucks. Small price
to pay for the security.
