I am having the hardest time getting this message to post; it just
never goes through, never bounces back. It may have had some sort of
word interpreted as a command, so I've modified it a bit. Anyway:

I'm sure this has been discussed in the past, but I can't seem to
search the archives before Dec. 2002, so here goes:

We have a Bondi Rev. A, which suffered the fate of so many, apparent
early video failure. My husband wants to repair it, and is convinced a
new flyback transformer will do the trick. (He is a competent and
experienced repairperson.)

How likely is this to resurrect this iMac (dead 1 1/2 years already!)
and if so, where can I obtain the proper flyback? I know of NEI only.

BTW, we have tried a new power supply board, replaced the PRAM battery
and reset the CUDA switch, and the problem remains.

I'd be content to buy a used iMac for $400 or less and turn the dead
one into an aquarium, but my husband is determined to coax it into
performing.

Karen
