I believe that there are 4 pin and
6 pin Firewire connectors.
I think that the 4 pin connectors
do not carry power, whereas the 6
pin connectors do carry power.

You need a 6-pin to 6-pin cable.

I hope that other folks, who are
more certain of these facts,
will confirm or refute what i have written.

Terminators are not needed for Firewire.
