I think it falls into the category of bad coding. I can make iCab use it, but it struggles too. Just a side note: Remember that Java is NOT the same as JavaScript! Apart from the similar name, they are not the same at all. JavaScript always relies on the implementation in the Browser and consists of several different versions, while Java is mostly done using the Java-implementation on the machine.
