Hello, Dale, SMTP 550 error messages means you are trying to send a message via a server that can't authenticate you. A common occurrence of this is when you attempt to send mail via your mail account with the from: set to your other ISP account. In other words, when sendmail reads the mail headers, it verifies the sender domain and makes sure it is its own domain - not another real one or a fictitious one. The ability to send mail from a non-local domain is called relaying and is one of the main spamming tools (those addresses you can never reply to). The fight against spam is forcing administrators to look at their email policies and block relaying. An easy way around it, if you do have multiple mail accounts, is to make sure the <from> field is set to the proper domain.
