I wouldn't say that they're deaf. I'd say that they have ultimate (and now, unfounded) faith that their customers will stay loyal. I think that they disbelieve anyone will give up and switch to InDesign. Unfortunately, their ill-placed faith has done more to promote InDesign than anything anyone at Adobe could have -EVER- done. They say that QuarkXPress for OS X is 'in development'. They've been saying that since before OS X was released in March 2001.
