That's probably because the majority of early iMac users have made the
upgrade to OS X, and all iMacs made in the last year or so came with OS X.
So, it's logical that OS X troubleshooting would be a major part of this
list, as problems and solutions vary from one iMac model to the next. Why
some iMac users are still using 8.6 is a mystery to me, but it's their
choice, whether for financial reasons or personal preference, even if they
are rapidly becoming the minority. Before we know it, OS X too will be a
thing of the past, and this list will still be here to troubleshoot whatever
the current OS is, and how to troubleshoot it on their iMac. It probably
won't be much longer before the earlier iMacs are no longer supported by the
current OS, so enjoy it while it lasts.
