Well, given that OS X is what comes with and defaults boots on all iMacs since last year, AND that it's a new OS with changes aplenty compared to OS 9, what do you expect? For my part, if someone has a problem with OS 9 (or 8.6, or 8.1 for that matter!) on their iMac I'll be happy to listen and help if I can. But we are (mostly) all moving forward, and OS X is where most of us will be by this time next year. There are times where I think some questions would be better of answered on an OS X-orientated list, but as long as they own an iMac I think it's perfectly appropriate here. OS 9 people who are thinking of complaining about how OS X-orientated this list has become ... think how the 8.1 and 7.5.x people must feel. Like it or not, you are rapidly becoming part of that group -- the outdated. I don't mean it as a put-down in any way, just a statement of fact. It's perfectly OK by me whatever OS you run to get the job done (as long as it's a Mac OS! :) but most folks will be moving forward, if not now then as soon as they change out their machines. _Chas_ Come to ...
