I personally only recommend a HUGE hard drive. An hour of DV is about 15
Gigabytes.  Yes, you need the additional ram or the project will crawl. That
machine should run FC2 fine. We ran it on a G3 mini-tower in school with
good results.
    And when people on this list tell you things are outdated, take it with
a grain of salt. Your iMac will continue to be as good of a machine as it
ever was for well over a decade. Yes, I have a newer, faster iMac than my
original Bondi, but the only reason I got rid of the Bondi is that I got
half of what I paid for it back again after 4 and a half years, and I
converted a switcher in the process. It is STILL a great machine.
