Hello All-- I am looking for advise on transferring video from a Panasonic PV-DV102 Digital Video Camcorder to my iMac - Revision D, 333MHz, OS 9.1 (as well as possibly using the camera as a webcam). In typical fashion, a wide variety of software and drivers are included for use with Windows but none are provided (or available from the website) for the Macintosh.
The camera records onto Mini DV Cassettes as well as MultiMediaCard or SD Memory Card and can be connected via USB. When I attempt to connect the camera I get a message stating "Software needed for USB device 'Unnamed Device' is not available. Would you like to look for the software on the internet?" When I click 'OK' a search begins and results in no software being found. My questions are: 1. Are there Apple or generic drivers which will recognize this camera? 2. Is there software available to recognize this camera for use as a webcam? 3. I would also be interested if there is anything that will work with OSX, but for now would prefer to get is working under OS 9.1. Thanks, in advance, for any assistance.
