I've got a couple questions to ask you guys about using iDisks and downloading applications. (I'm sending this letter to my Dad as well)
Have any of you had any problems downloading from iDisks? 1. Awhile ago I got an error right at the end of a download. I don't remember the error exactly but I think it said there was some data that could not be read. I don't remember the error code because I haven't been using that for awhile. The programs seemed to be complete on my end though. I wonder if that will happen when I finally get this next program downloaded!!!!! 2. He told he to try Using Goliath and its faster (P.S. I do notice a speed increase Dad. You asked earlier). Anyways, the problem with this one is that it gets down to one minute and then hangs forever. The files won't open either, so I think there's a problem. 3. If i get knocked off line or have to pull the plug for some reason, is there a way I can finish the download later, versus having to do the whole thing again? He's got two 30-40MB files I want and I'm working on a 26k connection!!!!!!!! That translates into a 5+ hour download and somewhere there is always a screw up. Thanks iMaccers!!!
