Then I would go and edit that to fit what I wanted, changing the text, file references, links, etc. Then renamed and uploaded that html file and all the corresponding files (pictures, clip art, icons, backgrounds) to the server for my own website. Usually worked fairly well, without a lot of fuss, usually just some minor tweaking was needed. Often I would copy parts of the source from many sites and combine them. Fairly easy to figure it all out, just read the html and viewed the page it came from, and saw just which bit did what.
