hi there!

i have the exact same problem... i have the same iMac except with 256 MB
RAM and running on OS 9.2.2... I tried installing OS 10.2 but I got
frustrated because somehow while installling it goes to sleep and never
wake up....

I still haven't found a solution yet but one person from this list said
it's probably a power supply problem in that i have to replace it.

One other guy said I should enable multiple user mode, but i always have
that on and still have problem...

Another one said I should remove multiple user and energy saver all
together, I did that a few days ago but I still have the same problem...

Another one said I should get a Disk Utility Program... so i think i
should do that... they said it's more like a software related problem
and not hardware.
