To do that you need to use CDRW, not CDRs. These cost several times more
than CDRs, (though still not expensive, about $2 here). You might be better
to use cheap CDRs, not worry about having multiple copies and instead
consider it more insurance, and just store them indefinitely -- they don't
take much space if you store them in paper or plastic sleeves.
CDRWs are usually rated at 1000 burns, but I wouldn't trust them for that
many uses (scratching becomes more likely, aside from anything else).
