I know what you mean. I felt the same way about MY old Bondi Blue.
Actually, I still do. That's why, when I was put in a position where I
HAD to sell it, the only person I could bear to sell it to was my best
friend. At least that way, I'll get to see my trusty Bondi Blue again
once in a while. :)

Captain Jean-Luc Picard once said the following about commanding the
Enterprise:

"The first vessel I served on as Captain was called Stargazer. It was
an overworked, underpowered vessel, always on the verge of flying apart
at the seams... in every MEASURABLE sense, my Enterprise is far
superior. But there are times... when I would do almost anything to
command the Stargazer again."

I could say much the same thing about my trusty Bondi Blue:

"My first Mac was a Bondi Blue iMac. It was an overworked,
underpowered computer, hard drive always on the verge of flying apart
at the seams... in every MEASURABLE sense, my Flat Panel iMac is far
superior. But there are times... when I would do almost anything to
have my Bondi Blue again."
