We run it everyday on a slot loading 350 iMac. The only mod was bumping
the memory to 512. It has 10.2.4 on it and runs fine. OS X loves memory
and memory is still reasonably priced. It's the 18 year old daughter's
iMac and she has hordes of audio on it, and uses it with her digital
camera. Your 400 DV with it's built in firewire would be even better
for those uses.
