thanks guys the 002 error was a guess . as i did this yesterday on site and am not there now. i did run disk utilities from the jaguar disk but did not format it from there. that was done by the teacher. i may even talk to him to see which disk he formatted from.
on a side note. why would it matter which disk formatted the drive? it was workin on 9.22 and 10.1.x after format. and all he was doign was getting it back to jaguar where he was before the crash. anyways thanks for the directing. i shall do more and report back with exact details. -- Brian Hodkin CNA I.T.
