Hi listas, After all you tips I did the following:
I installed FCP1 on a G4 at work and serialized it. Copied the Folder with FCP and the FCP preferences and put it on the right place on my iMac 1Ghz (FCP folder in apps 9 and prefs in Systemfolder 9 (preferences)) Started the FCP3 update (It works) But now you'll need a legal System ID to start without the CD. This ID I had copied from my old mac. The only thing to do is to open both ID's in resedit and copy the SKey-ID into the other one and save. FCP runs now.
