If you're _have_ to run Win98, check out a product called "98lite" -- use Google --
to replace the 98 desktop with the lighter and faster Win95 desktop. (The 98 "active"
desktop integrates Internet Explorer as part of Microsoft's Plan for World Domination,
and it's a lot faster, slower to load, and more bug-prone. Removing it requires some
major surgery, something that 98lite makes painless...)

Loading Win95 into a disk image is no different from loading Win95 onto a PC, really,
but it's complicated by the fact that there isn't a floppy on the iMac, and the Win95
OSR2 CD isn't bootable. You can *duplicate* the standard (i.e. Win98) disk image, boot
it, copy the Win95 CD files to a directory in the *duplicate* image, boot into command
mode, delete just about everything except the install files, and install from those
files.

Greg,

Don't you need to have a copy of the Win95 install CD to use 98lite? I looked into
this years ago when I installed VPC 3.0 (w/Win98) on my iMac, but I couldn't do it
because I didn't have a Win95 CD ... and I certainly wasn't going to buy one. :-)
Perhaps I misread something ...
