Hello,
I'm new to the list, so I must have a flaming newbie question
or two. I have a new 10.2.4 iMac (Let's say A) and a 333 from early
'99 running 9.2.2 (B). I have a DSL connection through a router, and
can occasionally set up B to connect to A through the Chooser.
BUT--
The connection is always shaky. It'll be unexpectedly closed even if
A isn't asleep, and I'll have to restart B to get it back. Also,
whenever I start up B, it has a logon window for A that I can't
dismiss. I hit cancel and it comes right back up.
This is my first experience networking anything beyond one computer.
Is there some app or pref toggle I'm missing? Any help would be
greatly appreciated.
Also--is there an easy software way for A and B to share a USB
printer? I've got a manual switch, but it's $15 that could be taken
off my charge of there's a free way to do it.
Thanks!
Jason
