I just bought an Iomega refurb 16X10X40 CD-RW external USB drive from MacMall. (Item #111717: $58 + free shipping, if you're interested). Very nifty, I suppose, if I could do something with it, but I ran into trouble with the Iomega's proprietary HotBurn software even before I hooked up the hardware. Whole lotta conflicts, so I had to uninstall it.
Anyone else have any problems? At a later time I'll try a simple back-up with Retrospect. Hopefully that'll work OK. Should I just can the software and go for Toast? I have no experience with CD-RW, but it seems as though this should be really easy. I'm running OS 9.2.2 on an iMac 233 Rev B. -- The iMac List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
