::chuckles:: well I'm not that brain dead, pretty close some times but not that bad. :D I did a google search on it first and found pdf's that showed how to discharge the CRT, according to that pdf it appears the large black cable that connects directly to the CRT is where the deadly voltage is. Thats not where I was adjusting. At the base of the CRT there is a black plastic cover with 3 potentiometers visible and further down is a bunch of tabbed rings held tight by two black lock nuts. It was by adjusting these I managed to adjust the screen back. What was shocking me was bumping the circuit board that the potentiometers were on.... those rings are kinda hard to turn.... even more so after the little tabs break off. So I did eat 110 a few times when my hand slipped but wasn't ever within 10 inches of the high voltage. Matt Current Stable of Macs..
