Update to 10.2.4, then run a program called "Cocktail" (freeware 
available from Versiontracker.com or macupdate.com). The last tab of 
the program has an "auto pilot" that does a lot of healthy-system 
stuff. Run that.

Then reboot the machine and see if the sleep problem continues. If it 
does, you will need to start looking at your third-party login items 
for a possible culprit.
